London Bar.

At London Bar, creative freedom allowed Lato to turn almost the entire space into a canvas for art.

The bar in Santos had London as its theme. Rather than limiting the design to the city's best-known icons, our research found richer ground in British urban culture and street art.

Banksy became one of the main references. His connection to England, use of stencils, humor and the satirical nature of many of his works inspired a series of tributes, reinterpretations and provocations by Lato.

Art spread across walls, ceiling, floor, stairs, bathrooms and architectural details. Small Easter eggs sat alongside large interventions, making the discovery of works part of the bar experience.

A phone booth featured a humorous scene of two children trying to reach the telephone. Elsewhere, a London guard stands still while a pigeon above him breaks the character's solemnity.

Even a deteriorated wall became part of the project. What could have been treated as a problem was incorporated into the space through doors, windows, timber, grilles and different textures. References to the British monarchy and the phrase God Save the Queen completed the intervention.

We also created an interactive installation inspired by balloons in Banksy's visual world. Placed beside the stairs, their strings could be held by visitors, creating the illusion of being carried away. The installation became a photo spot and helped the bar gain organic attention.

Among the works was a phrase that summed up the thinking behind the project: art is language.

At London Bar, art communicated references, created humor, introduced culture, encouraged interaction and generated content. The entire space became part of that conversation.
