Before Sow Cake, there was Bolos do Frei. Moving from a franchise-linked brand to an independent business created the opportunity to build a new identity and begin its own story.

Lato joined the process from the start. The work included naming, rebranding, visual identity, graphics and applications, creating the brand's new world before bringing it into its physical spaces.

Research found a predominantly female audience and an opportunity to highlight both the product and the experience of spending time at the concept house in Vila Mariana. The identity adopted a delicate language, warm earthy colors and particular attention to the sustainability valued by the company.

The idea of a Cake Lounge expanded that perception: cake remained at the center, but the house and the time spent there also became part of the experience.

The branding then took on an architectural scale.

On the Vila Mariana facade, Lato created a composition in which each element plays a role. The woman drinking coffee introduces the moment of consumption; botanical elements connect to the brand's relationship with sustainability; and her gaze directs attention to the Sow Cake sign.

A second intervention for the Santos branch took the codes developed in the rebrand into another setting, with a more colorful interpretation suited to the new space.

From the name to the facade, the project built the brand as one system, with strategy, design and art sharing a common origin.
